Summary

The house featured a section with a flat roof, which, upon closer inspection, revealed significant damage around the skylight. The plywood in that area was severely rotten, necessitating a more extensive repair process than initially anticipated. As a result, we made the decision to replace all of the damaged plywood on the flat roof. This involved carefully removing the old material and ensuring that the underlying structure was sound before proceeding.

Once the new plywood was in place, we laid down a layer of underlayment to provide additional protection and create a solid base for the roofing material. After ensuring that everything was properly secured and ready, we finally installed the TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) roofing membrane. This durable material is designed to withstand the elements and provide long-lasting protection for the roof. The entire process was meticulous but necessary to ensure that the roof would be both functional and aesthetically pleasing for many years to come.
